Obviously, keeping a website online is a costly endeavor. The Abyss is no exception. I just wanted to give a quick run-down of what it takes to keep this place going at the moment, and am offering a quick and painless way to show your support!

The current hosting service we are using right now, was a year contract that cost $82.08! If we continue to use this host, it is possible that I will consider going for a longer term hosting plan which although will still cost a large sum of money, it will be at a huge discount; for a three year plan, it will only cost $174.24!

So, if we can raise enough money by January 2012, I will definitely consider this option.

Another less substantial cost is the actual domain, which will only be around $10 for another year. It’s likely I’ll end up purchasing the domain for several more years regardless of the current host.

What can you do? Donate, for one thing. I will both be keeping track manually of the donated funds, and this page should always show donations for the last 28 days. Anything that is donated via this application will go solely towards purchasing Abyss related resources!
